Dear Parents,

Today, we started off with going over rotations and how to rotate clockwise vs. counterclockwise. We also talked about quarter turns, half turns, three quarter turns, and whole or full turns. We also talked about the corresponding degree angles with each turn. We also discussed what a point of rotation is.

Then, with the Grade 4s, we worked on some two digit by one digit multiplication.

Then, students worked on their textbook work:

Grade 5: pages 308-310 #1-8

Grade 4: page 292 #1-7

Then, students had snack and Music and then DPA.

When they came back in, Grade 5s worked on computers to finish their colouring for levels of government and write about these levels. Grade 4s did research on their birthstones in preparation for our matter and rock cycle unit. This is homework if not done.

After lunch, students worked on book creator, we read some of the novel, and then students worked in their groups on their Drama skits. We also did a quick Kahoot right before recess on states of matter.
