Happy last day of May everybody!
Today, I read a bit from our class novel and then Grade 5s worked with their partners to practice various transformations. At the same time, I worked with the Grade 4s on Multiplication patterns. Then, I did some more review with the Grade 5s on the board using coordinates and transformations.
After, we had snack and DPA.
Then, we did a gallery walk and looked at all of the Social Studies projects. The students did a great job on their respective projects. Then, we played some CCRF bingo and Grade 5s worked on writing about three of the rights. Grade 4s worked on highlighting main parts of their reading about the fur trade and then wrote about whether they thought the fur trade had more positive or negative consequences. It is homework if not done. I also went over the various levels of government’s responsibilities and students worked on colouring various jobs based on the levels of government.
After lunch, we worked on how to write the introduction and conclusion for our essays. After recess, students continued to work on their foil art.
Have a good night!
Sincerely,
Ms. Wilks
