Today, students worked on:

Grade 5s: Lesson 4 #1-7

Grade 4s: Started creating their own survey for a project.

Then, students had snack, Music, and then DPA. When we came back in, we went to the library and then read a bit of Wonder.

After lunch, we had the French quiz and students worked on writing out the good copy of their narratives. Then, I did a quick fur trade activity with the class, The Grade 4s had to go find beavers in the courtyard and trade them for goods. They got points based on the trades they could make with me.

After recess, I showed students a short tutorial of book creator, an online website to make books from their stories they have written. It has a lot of cool features, especially for people who feel they are not very good at drawing. Then, I introduced the Drama concept of Tabelaux where students have to create frozen images to depict stories. We practiced a funny one with Rapunzel. Students will be working in groups next class to make a tableaux for a mystery fairytale and we will guess which one it is.

Just a reminder that Science project and presentations are due tomorrow for Grade 4 and Friday for Grade 5.
