Dear Parents,
Today, we started off with a reading comprehension assessment for me to gauge student understanding of the Literature Circles booklet and novel that we completed.
Then, we had snack and DPA. Then, we labelled some new parts of the cells and went through the animal cells.
After, we did some introductory tennis where we practiced bouncing the ball on our racket, playing against the wall, and then hitting it back and forth outside.
After lunch, we continued the literacy assessment and then students worked on unfinished work.
At the very end of the day, students had community time.
Their weekend journal is to write about whether they liked their literature circle novel and why or why not. What would happen if there was a sequel? Would you change anything in the story? (Grade 5: 1.5 pages and Grade 4: 1 page).
This is due Monday and the spelling test is on Thursday.
Have a great, sunny weekend.
Sincerely,
Ms. Wilks
