Dear Parents,

We started off today with doing some group work sorting shapes into various Venn Diagram sections by attributes including: parallel lines, perpendicular lines, quadrilaterals, lines of symmetry, etc. The kids worked together so well! Then, students were assigned textbook work (sorry I forgot to take a picture of the questions and page numbers).

After snack and DPA, we labelled and coloured various parts of a plant cell and then did some secret Science that I can’t tell you about 😊 (the kids would be mad, it’s a surprise).

Then, we went over conjugations for the verbs avoir and être in French and I asked the kids some common questions in French and had them answer aloud.

After lunch, we worked on differentiating the use of various homophones and commonly used words that are spelled incorrectly. We also talked about plural s vs. ‘s and when to use each. Then, students had their last literature circle discussions and reflection.

At the very end of the day, we worked on starting to write the hook and introduction of our personal narratives that we have been planning for a while.
