Dear Parents,
Today, we started off with brainstorming some things that our class is grateful for. They did a wonderful job coming up with various ideas with a grateful attitude 🙂
Then, we did some review for Math. We did some Math games on the projector to practice working with decimals, practiced equivalent decimals, and working with fractions and colouring in hundredths charts. The Math quiz for mid-unit is going to be next Wednesday, February 17th and will be on lessons 1-7 of our fractions and decimals chapter. This quiz is going to count on their report card (unlike our pop quizzes from previous units).
After, students had Music. Then we went outside for DPA and then Mr. Anderson came in to do a lesson.
After lunch, students edited each others’ persuasive writing and at the end of the day, completed some reading comprehension questions on a select grade level reading. I also had the kids read to me one on one to formally assess their reading.
Just a reminder that the spelling test is on Thursday.
Have a good night!
Sincerely,
Ms. Wilks
