Dear Parents,
Today, we started off with doing a lot of class Math practice with a variety of fractions questions. I illustrated with pictures and numbers lines to depict equivalent fractions, how to find the common denominator, and comparing fractions and had students work to answer a variety of questions on their individual white boards. We are taking this unit slowly because some of it can be quite abstract and I want to make sure the students understand a concept fully before moving on.
After, students went to Music. Then, we had DPA and went to library.
After lunch, Grade 4s went to do FSA practice and I did a French vocabulary jeopardy with the Grade 5s.
At the end of the day, we had a class meeting and did a reading on bullying.
French booklets are due in full colour tomorrow. It is also Ms. Parke’s lesson so students need to come in running shoes.
Sincerely,
Ms. Wilks
