Dear Parents,
Today, we started off with working on quiet activities and then we worked on double-by-double digit multiplication. I explained one of the strategies in the book of forming partial products and using expanded form, but left it open to kids for which strategy they decide to pick to use in their textbook work.
The pages are:
Grade 4: pages 108-109 #1-6, 8, 9
Grade 5: pages 94-95 #2, 4,5, 8-11
It is due tomorrow if they are not done.
After, students had Music and then DPA indoors.
Following DPA, students had time to work on their projects. I introduced a Battle of the Biomes project for the Grade 4’s this year. They need to create a presentation to convince me that their chosen biome is the best and present it to the class. 🙂 I am very excited for it.
After lunch, Mrs. Chim came in and they worked on “Triplets Poems” and wrote three triplets poems. It is homework if they are not done. At the very end of the day, they worked on drawing out a healthy plate of food in accordance with Canada’s New Food Guide.
