Hello everyone,
Today, we started off by going over if there were any difficult questions in the textbook work. The students indicated that the Show What You Know homework from yesterday made sense. After, we went over on the board everything they needed to practice and study for the test tomorrow and we reviewed examples of these topics. Then, students practiced testing each other on whiteboards in preparation for the test.
After, students had snack and went to Music. We had our last two presentations after that and then students were given the time to work on their Social Studies projects on the computers in order to conduct research, or some students chose to create their artifacts in the classroom. Then, we went out for DPA and came back in for lunch.
Unfortunately, during lunch there was a lot of chaotic and inappropriate behaviour. After lunch, we talked about how students should behave at lunch time and we went over what went wrong. Students had to write a one-page piece on how they should behave at lunch as an apology letter to Mr. D for their behaviour. Hopefully, we can have a better lunch time tomorrow with safe and appropriate behaviour. Please ask your child what we discussed and emphasize the importance of safe behaviour at lunchtime.
At the end of the day, we continued working on our directed drawing of Starry Night.
The only homework is the final unit test on Patterning tomorrow and the Spelling Test on Thursday, October 15th (sorry if I wrote the wrong date before). It is also picture day on Thursday.
Sincerely,
Ms. Wilks
