Welcome back to another lively day in Grade 4/5 🙂
A dreary day but we made the most of it!
First, we started off with independent reading and had a class meeting run by Ms. Sakic. We went around the circle and shared cheers, warm fuzzies, and did a temperature check.
Then, we did a brief Math lesson (as we had already covered the content for Lesson 2 in our longer lesson yesterday). The students worked on Lesson 2 in their textbooks and it is for homework if they are not done.
Grade 4:Â Pages 11-12Â #1-6
Grade 5: Pages 12-13 #1-4
Then, the kids went to Music and had some free activity time since we couldn’t go outside for DPA.
After that, we read descriptions of the different physical regions of Canada like the Cordillera, Interior Plains, St. Lawrence Lowlands, Appalachian Region, Canadian Shield, and Arctic Lands. Then, we coloured in our maps and labeled the corresponding regions. Then, they had more time to finish their Math if they finished early before lunch.
After lunch, the students switched their split short stories and wrote the third part for another classmate. They turned out great!
Homework is the Math if they are not done and the map colouring and labelling if not done and is due tomorrow.
Sincerely,
Ms. Wilks
