Dear Parents,
Today, we had two assemblies so unfortunately there wasn’t a whole lot of time and it felt like a rushed day. This morning, we had our spelling test #11. I managed to mark them during lunch and computer time today and have handed them back already. I will post them on Fresh Grade as well tonight.
Our first assembly was given by in a rock concert sort of format where the country singer had songs about getting along and being positive. After this, we worked on our viking boats. The students finished their viking boats in groups after lunch and then started working on “Code Combat” which is an introductory game to code online. Each student has a separate account and has to code their character to move in different ways to achieve various goals and avoid enemies. It is a really cool game suggested by one of our very own students! 🙂
Students have a journal this weekend where they need to write about what they already know about the planets, if they could live on a planet, where would they live and if they believe in aliens! It needs to be 1/2 page to 3/4 of a page and it is due on Monday.
At the end of the day, we had the second assembly about Pink Shirt Day.
Have a wonderful long weekend because there is no school tomorrow for students!
Sincerely,
Ms. Wilks
