Dear Parents,

Today, we started off our day with Ms. Schmidt’s Social Emotional Lesson. After DPA & Snack, we did our Fractions Math Quiz and students who were done worked on their explorer passports that are due fully done tomorrow!

After lunch, we read and worked on our rugs a bit and then students worked to finalize their plans for their ships and then some groups started to build their ships today for our ship challenge! We will be testing them in a few weeks!

At the very end of the day, we had a lesson with Ms. B on synonyms and how to use more ‘juicy’ or interesting words that are more descriptive in our writing. Students looked through a thesaurus to find synonyms and write them down for a number of words.
