Dear Parents,

Today, we went outside for Gym – the snow was so deep and the students had so much fun sledding! Just a safety reminder to continually reinforce is that I do not want students standing up on their boards – I am worried about them falling and hurting themselves or even worse getting a concussion. Then, we did some more work on adding up money, making change, and modeling money amounts with bills and coins in preparation for our Money quiz on Wednesday.

Before lunch, we had a lesson and discussion on renewable vs. non-renewable energy sources and sorted different forms of energy into the two categories. The students had really interesting ideas about things they knew about energy that they wanted to share, which was awesome! Then, we worked in our snap circuit groups to build circuit projects that had goals to complete.

After lunch, I handed back the marked assignments – I did not post the Winter Break writing on Fresh Grade because there are many pages per student, so please check with them to see the physical copy. Then, we had centres time with our little buddy class.

At the end of the day, we had community time.

Hot lunch forms went out today as well!

Students also need to complete their half to three-quarters page journal on writing a summary of their favourite book or movie. This is due on Monday. They also need to complete their energy conservation actions this week as well.
