Dear Parents,

Thank you so much to all the parents who drove today! I really really appreciate it – you made today so seamless with transportation, helping the kids, and supervising them with me 🙂 THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I had so much fun and the kids enjoyed it so much, there were countless smiles and a lot of laughter all around!

When we came back, the students had snack and worked on reading and highlighting about the Grasslands Biome and then drawing/writing about it in their biome pamphlet. It is homework if it is not done.

After lunch we worked on writing a letter to another teacher at the school to practice our letter writing. The weekend journal prompt is directly related to our letter writing process. The students are tasked with writing a letter to me with the date and address at the top right hand side, greeting (Dear Ms. Wilks,), body (information and details conveyed in the letter), and a salutation at the end (Sincerely/From/Love, Their Name). They can also write a P.S. (post-script) at the end to add any last finishing thoughts. This is due Monday!

At the end of the day we had community time with the other classes.

The pancake breakfast & pajama day are next Wednesday, December 11th. Students this year need to bring their own plate, cup, fork, and knife in a plastic ziploc bag so that we are cutting down on waste.
