Dear Parents,

Today, we worked more on our medieval buildings – they look wonderful and are starting to come together with all of the elements. Students started moulding things out of clay, adding felt, and building fences around their buildings.

Then, we had the multiplication and division Math Test.

After lunch, we continued worked on our letters to the two students who moved from our class (it is homework if it is not done). We learned how letters need the address, date, a greeting (Dear _____,), a body of the letter, and a salutation (Sincerely, Your Name). An optional P.S. (post-script) can also be added at the end to add one more closing note. We worked in our Daily 5 stations as well on literacy activities.

At the end of the day, we worked on highlighting information on the Coniferous Forest and drawing/writing about it in our Biomes pamphlet. It is homework if they are not done.

Unfortunately, there were a number of students today who were not playing appropriately at recess – again there was play fighting which turned into real fighting and students were hurt. Mr. Wall talked to them today about this behaviour and how it is inappropriate.

Sincerely,

Ms. Wilks
