Dear Parents,

Today, we worked on word problems in Math e.g. If Barbara has 16 oranges and wants to give them equally to her 4 friends, how many does each one get? We are also practicing creating word problems and differentiating between whether multiplication and division should be used to answer each problem. Division is used to share things quite often or ‘divide’ things among friends. The homework page is 115 #1-5. Our Math Test is coming up on Tuesday, December 3rd next week.

Then, we worked on our Group of 7 Landscape Artwork pieces. Next class, we will use watercolour to paint our landscapes.

We started some typing practice after lunch today, but had some problems with the typing program – so I sent the students to play some typing games online: https://www.typinggames.zone/

Typing is so important, especially in this generation, so we will be starting a typing practice program in the upcoming weeks. I am very excited about it 🙂

After recess, we did some writing practice with Ms. B, where we made invitations to a writing thinking party!

I have also said that for the canned food donations, that if everyone brings 5 things (or at least something), we can have extra free time as a little incentive 🙂
