Today we had our Orange Shirt Day Assembly – thank you to everyone who was wearing orange to celebrate that every child matters!
Today, we worked on our Area lesson where we learned about square unit and that when we calculate the area we figure out how much space a shape takes up. We multiply the length by the width of a shape to find the area and write it either in square units or in centimetres depending on the unit provided. The homework is Lesson 8: pages 151-152, Question #1-8 due tomorrow.
Our second spelling test is on Thursday, October 11th and the new words are:
- snatch
- foe
- miniature
- precise
- inquire
- soggy
- vague
- garbled
- acquaintance
- hailed
The students should have their red journals with the spelling words and definitions written down.
