The answer is 35 poppies. 
There are 37 poppies. 2 people wore them on their shirts. How many left? ~ Heart
There were 40 poppies. 5 people came and bought 5. How many are left? ~ Jasper
I had walked through 2 fields with poppies. 30 in 1 and 5 in another. How many poppies now? ~ Bernice
There were 50 poppies. A robber stole 15. How many are left? ~ Jasper
A group of kids received 50 poppies but only needed 15. How many poppies left over? ~ Ms. Watt
