There are 90 students in the gym to get an award. Miss Mur Mur Mur kicks 5 people out! Then Casandra leaves & Chloe for a bake sale! Then Julia goes for a doughnut break! Then 2 more people leave! How many students winning awards? ~ Chloe
There are 72 students receiving academic awards. 8 more students receive 8 academic awards. How many in all? ~ ?
There are 70 students getting ready for the academic awards. A few minutes later Casandra brings 10 people with her then 1 person had to go to the washroom & left. How many in all? ~ Cayla

There were 70 students receiving academic awards & Chloe said, “Wait! Let me get 5 more students” & Miss Mur Mur said, “I will get 5 more students & Sahana got her lunch & saw the students receiving academic awards. How many in all? ~ Sahana
There are 100 students receiving academic awards, then Chloe posts fliers about her amazing macaroon stand & 20 students go. 10 students didn’t like the macaroon flavours so they left the stand. Then Casandra comes in & hosts a party at the beach & 10 students go. How many students left receiving academic awards? ~ Julia
There were 78 students receiving academic awards, but then they forgot about 2 students so then they were given academic awards. How many in all? ~ Mia
There were 90 students about to receive an award. 2 kids go to the washroom & miss their award. Julia said, “Oh I see a student wearing a doughnut shirt! WAIT! WHAT? THERE’S A KID WEARING A DOUGHNUT SHIRT!” Then she went up to the students that were wearing the doughnut shirts & gave them another shirt. 5 kids went into dong dong do land & they missed their awards. Cayla saw 2 kids from Grade 3 & asked them to sit down. How many students receiving academic awards? ~ Casandra
