🧡 Everyone Matters 🧡

Orange Shirt Day is recognized annually on September 30th, in recognition of the harm the residential school system did to children’s sense of self-esteem and well being, and as an affirmation of our commitment to ensure that everyone around us matters.

Division 8 students met with their little buddies in Division 15 and traced their hands, then wrote in the hand something they can do to help others feel like they matter.
Click on the photos above for a closer look.

Cross Country Intramurals 2018

Nelson students in grades 3, 4, 5, 6, & 7 participated in our annual Cross Country competition.
Students ran around the whole block, ending with a sprint towards the finish line at our playground.
Division 8 had lots of fun racing for the 1st time against other grade 3s and all did an awesome job!

BOOK LOVE

Ohmigoodness! Division 8 has been completely spoiled with new books. Thank you SO much to Marcus,
Alexandra, Shimer, Casandra, Julia, Iris, Kayla, Ella S and Mrs. Roberts for your incredibly generous gifts!
We will enjoy these books all year long.
