The answer is 4 chubby brown groundhogs. 
There were 9 groundhogs. 5 of them were skinny. How many were chubby and fat? ~ Malachi
10 groundhogs. A cougar came. It killed 6 of them. How many escaped? ~ Malachi
8 groundhogs came out of their den. 4 fell off a cliff. How many left? ~ Giaan

THINK MATH
A reminder and re-introduction to our classroom THINK MATH poster. The answer to a word problem is posted every week both in our classroom and on this website. You your imagination and creativity to create a word problem that has the answer posted. After writing your word problem, don’t forget to add the question as well.
Below are 2 answers to word problems that are waiting for your creative word problem. You can either write them in your planner or submit them by clicking on the Leave a Comment / * Comments on the top or bottom of this post.

BOGGLE
A reminder and re-introduction to our classroom Boggle Board! New letters have been posted to the RIGHT of this post. Boggle encourages you to make as many words as you can from a random assortment of letters. This Boggle Board is updated weekly both in our classroom and on this website with a new set of 16 letters. Here is a copy of our classroom Boggle sheet. Print one off for you and a family member. Compete against a sibling or parent and see how many words you can make! Bring your sheet back to class next week to enter it into a draw for a prize! Have fun!!
