~ One last hour together as 2021/22’s Division 9 Grade 2/3s – marked our last day together this school year before ZOOMING out of Nelson & ZIPPING into summer! We watched a photo story of our year together, took photos for an upcoming When I Grow Up… post and Ms. Watt shared one of her very favourite Dr. Seuss books, Oh, the Places You’ll Go.

We joined forces with Division 8 today and competed in a friendly WATER BALLOON drop competition! After choosing our material from a small collection of shoe boxes, cardboard, cups, string, plastic bags, toilet paper rolls, paper towel, popsicle sticks and paper plates, we worked in groups of 3 to design a contraption to protect the water balloon!
It was SO exciting to be on the ground and see the creativity and success of your contraptions!

To Infinity & Beyond!

Hello Families!
Tomorrow is our first field trip of the year and we’re all VERY excited. Just a couple quick notes before the big day. Please have your child:
~ dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes as we will be walking a long distance to and from the theatre
~ bring their water bottle
~ bring a recess snack that fits in their pocket as we will not be bringing backpacks and they will not be eating lunch until 12:30/1:00
~ leave all money at home as there will not be an opportunity to buy snacks at the theatre
When we return from the theatre, our class has the opportunity to enjoy a delicious free hot dog lunch. If you’d like your child to participate, no need to send a lunch with them tomorrow. If they would not like a hot dog, please send a regular lunch with them to have at school when we return.
Thanks so much for your continued support!
