Tuesday is our big end of the year all day field trip to Suncresk Water Park!
Suncrest Park has a playground, a large field and sprays for water play.
Each child is welcome to bring whatever they’d like to the park to entertain them for the day, not including money, valuables, squirt or water guns. Whatever they bring, they are responsible for it’s safe return home.
Each child should arrive in the morning, dressed in his/her swimsuit with sunscreen applied and his/her clothes over top. Everyone should wear comfortable sandals that are suitable for walking and water play and bring these items:
We will be leaving Nelson just past 9:00am and returning to school at ~2:00pm.

I am so proud of the students who completed their 200 nights of Bookbeast reading! I love your love of reading and the dedication and responsibility of recording on and bringing in your sheets. Yay! You all received special prizes for each 50, 100, 150 and 200 nights and then a special magnetic bookmark for completing them all. There are now books in the Nelson Library dedicated to your awesome work! Way to go!!
~ if you were absent the last week of school, your final prize and dedication will happen during the 1st week back in September ~
I hope everyone has signed up for Burnaby Public Library’s Summer Reading program World of Curiosities!

Grade 3/4 students in Division 7 have been working on an Economic Marketplace unit, ideating, designing and creating products to sell. They are now all set and ready to sell! We are visiting them tomorrow to take a look and shop around! Everything will be under $2.00. Division 7 has been exploring local charities that they would like to support and decided on BC Ronald McDonald House, therefore, all proceeds from this sale will be donated to Ronald McDonald House Charities!

Tomorrow we will be leaving at 9:15 to walk to Metrotown Mall. Please ensure you have an extra recess snack to eat before we watch the movie. We will not be able to eat in the theatre. Afterwards, we will be walking to Bonsor Park to have lunch and play before leaving at 2:30 to walk back to school. You are welcome to bring anything to do at the park, as long as you can carry it and be responsible for it all day long. Any questions?
