PEACE POPPIES

Have you ever wondered what does Peace Looks like? Smells like? Feels like? Tastes like? Sounds like? Our Grade 2 and 3s wrote beautiful poetry with accompanying pictures to describe what Peace means to them.
Click HERE to see their heartfelt work.

In Flander’s Fields

A few brave souls from Division 8 worked hard and practiced often in order to present this famous Remembrance Day poem written during the First World War by Canadian physician Lieutenant-Colonel John McCrae.
Click on the poem to see their wonderful reading of this special poem.
Well done everyone! I’m so proud of our contribution to this Nelson tradition.

Glowing Window Art

Practicing our Jack-o-lantern faces before we take to carving our pumpkins, we created some fantastic Halloween art to decorate our classroom windows.
Click each picture for a closer look or click HERE for the full size pic!

Fall(ing) Leaves

Inspired by the falling leaves outside our windows, we learned about warm and cool colours, perfected our scissor skills and created some beautiful art!
