Halloween 2025

I hope everyone is looking forward to celebrating the spooky season at Nelson tomorrow! It’s going to be a busy, exciting day!!
If your child would like to wear their costume at school, please have them arrive at school wearing it so they are ready to go at the bell for the festivities. No masks and weapons allowed. They are more than welcome to come with a change of clothes so they can change out of their costume after the assemblies and keep it clean for Trick or Treating or other activities Friday evening.
I will keep them safe and dry in the classroom.
We will be having a Halloween assembly at 9:15 during which we will be performing a dance to the Monster Mash with Div. 8’s Grade 3s! You’re welcome to join us at the assembly to watch us perform. I will also be taking a video of it for families that are unable to attend. I’m so proud of the work all the work your kids have done learning the dance during the past few weeks. A video with the dance moves can be found on our class website.
After recess, we will be walking to St. Michaels care home to sing to the residents there. Its a tradition I continued on with after Mrs. Lentz retired from our school and we have been doing it now for over 25 years! The seniors love seeing the kids in their costumes and look forward to our visits every few months.
Because of the amount of rain we are expecting, your child is welcome to leave their costume at school when we make our trip to St. Michael’s.

As always, thanks so much for your support!
