HAPPY Dance!

Division 7 & 8’s Grade 3s, 4s rocked their dance on Friday!
Everyone performed with enthusiasm & wowed the crowd of students, teachers & parents!

Soccer with Cliff Avenue

Calling All Athletes!

Nelson had it’s annual Intramural Track Meet on December 12th & the students participated in relays showing off their basketball, football, skipping & agility skills while competing for house points.
Division 8 did an awesome job in all events & were great cheer leaders for their team mates (special shout out to Red Team for their non-stop encouragement!)!

Primary Christmas Skate

Primary students travelled by school bus to Bill Copeland Arena on Wednesday, all bundled up & ready to skate! After lacing up our skates, we were ready to show off our skills!

Cross Country Intramurals 2014

Nelson students in grades 3, 4, 5, 6, & 7 participated in our annual Cross Country competition on Friday afternoon. Division 8 had lots of fun racing for the 1st time against other grade 3s & all did an awesome job! Click on the runner below to see everyone fly!

TERRY FOX RUN 2014

Nelson students participated in our annual Terry Fox Run last Friday. After a late start to the year & only a few days of fundraising, bringing in Toonies for Terry & collecting pledges, we raised $1097 for the Terry Fox Foundation!! Incredible!! Our fundraising in the last couple years has been:
2011 ~ $502
2012 ~ $642
2013 ~ $1430.
We easily surpassed this year’s goal of $800! I’m so proud of all of your hard work!

G is for GAMES

G ~ 2 days full of GAMES! We celebrated with the run through of Primary Sports Day, learning 7 new GAMES as we went through all the stations, & then on Friday we had our annual SPORTS DAY!!

I had so much fun during my first year at the scorekeepers table with Mrs. Lentz & I hope you all had fun participating in all the stations & competing in the tug-of-wars too! Congratulations to RED HOUSE on their big Sports Day win!
