D ~ DINOSAUR books, drawing books, matching games, pattern blocks, posters, toys & more! We spent the day learning lots about dinosaurs, doing different dino activities in the morning & then learning more about dinosaurs from Bill Nye the Science Guy in the afternoon.

C ~ pink, orange, blue, green, white…sidewalk CHALK!
We got our creative juices going & decorated Nelson’s cement surfaces with our chalk pictures & writing. Thank you rain for holding off!

B ~ bubbles, Bubbles, & MORE BUBBLES! Using hand made pipe cleaners & even our hands, we created hundreds of beautiful bubbles!!

My favourite (soon to be yours too!) time of the school year has arrived!The ALPHABET COUNTDOWN has begun!

For the rest of the school year we’ll be celebrating each day with a letter, or two. We’ll be participating in activities &/or dressing in something special to make our last month together memorable & lots of fun!Today we began with A & spent the day with our favourite stuffed ANIMALS!

Z ~ One last hour together as 2014/15’s Division 8 Grade 3s – marked our last day together this school year before ZOOMING out of Nelson & ZIPPING into summer! We watched Mr. Gurniak’s fabulous slide show of pictures from this year, we took photos for an upcoming When I Grow Up… post & Miss Watt shared one of her very favourite Dr. Seuss books, Oh, the Places You’ll Go.

Everybody went home with their own Flat Stanley selves & I can’t wait to see all the places that you explore this summer! Love you Division 8, have a TON of fun this summer & I can’t wait to see you all in September!

Y ~ …It’s the Last Day of School!
We celebrated with YIPPEE, it’s YEAR END free time with games & yummy treats!

In the afternoon, a touching Graduation Ceremony – Well done Mr. Morrison, Mr. Phillips & Mrs. Dodd! – marked our last day full together for the 2014-15 school year.
 

X ~ Who doesn’t love eXPLOSIONS!?

We learned more about volcanic eXPLOSIONS  in the morning & then eXPERIMENTED with our own mini volcanoes in the afternoon!

We celebrated the accomplishments of the Intermediate students in the morning during the aWARDS ceremony. Can’t wait to see you up there next year!

U ~ We celebrated the sun by wearing our SUNGLASSES,
some more UNUSUAL than others!

V ~ Apparently we haven’t got enough of LET IT GOOO, LET IT GOOOOOOO so we sat back & relaxed in the afternoon & enjoyed the VIDEO Frozen! I Love Olaf!

T ~ We created some cool T-SHIRT art,
showcasing our very favourites in food, things, friends, etc.
