Hello Families,
As we approach our much-needed Spring Break, we would like to begin to explore our unit on Life Sciences through Spuds in Tubs (growing potatoes!). On Thursday, March 11th, we will be meeting as a K/1 community all together with the other classes. We will be planting our Spuds in Tubs live. This week the children will also be invited to grow their own potato in water and keeping track of how their potato changes or grows over the break.
Our STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) activity this week will involve making a trap for the Leprechaun and the enjoying activities that are associated with St. Patrick’s Day. STEM helps us combine our creative and critical thinking using skills in fun and engaging ways. We will also learn about the Persian New Year.
