Hello families,
I hope you had a great weekend. This week is Literacy Week! I wanted to let you know about the different school wide activities that will be happening this week. On Thursday, we will be doing a book swap. We are asking families to send in 1 school age book your child no longer reads. Every child will be bringing home a new book on Thursday.
This weeks activities:
Tuesday, January 23
- Dress up as your favourite book character day
- school-wide writing activity in the gym based on the anchor book “The Three Little Mittens” by Linda Bailey. Students are asked to bring a single/odd mitten or sock for this activity.
Wednesday, January 24
- Pajama Day is on Wednesday
- Cozy Reading/Fort Reading with buddy class. This is also pajama day and students can bring blankets, stuffies, and flashlights to cozy up and read together in creative ways.
Thursday, January 25
- Book swap
- Guest reader
Friday, January 26
- Read-Your-Shirt Day (wear a shirt with any kind of writing on it)
