Hello and welcome to my first blog, which is going to be about what stands out the most about Terry Fox, according to me. First things first, he was an amazing inspiration to many, many people. He was very brave and courageous, he did something that he was not told to do, yet he did it any ways. He had supporters along the way, which were his mom, Derrell, and Doug. Those three people were big supporters and helped Terry get through with his goal. He had many other people which supported him like Bill and his fans! Terry’s family, mainly his mom, didn’t want Terry to run across Canada, but Terry would mostly/always say: “I’m not doing the run to become rich or famous”, “It took cancer to realize that being self-centered is not the way to live. The answer is to try and help others” and one of the most important “Even if I don’t finish, we need others to continue. It’s got to keep going without me.”

Terry Fox is a remarkable person, and probably my biggest Hero. Terry did this not for fame, as he said, but to raise awareness, to help those who still have cancer, Terry also said “If I was lucky enough to survive Cancer, I should be the one to help those who do”
