Coast Salish Weaving

Here is a short video of Squamish Nation Hereditary Chief Janice George-Joseph describing the significance and art form of the Coast Salish weaving that we have been learning about. When we return from spring break, the whole school will be creating and working on a school weaving project. How exciting! In the meantime, you can continue practising your weaving skills over the break and experiment with different designs and colour patterns. All you need is cardboard and some yarn.
