Growth Mindset
Do you have a fixed mindset or a growth mindset? Can you train your mind? What are some phrases that you can use to help encourage and motivate yourself? The next time you catch yourself telling yourself that you can’t do something or that it is too hard, change the message to something positive: I know I can do this. I am getting better. I feel proud of my effort. I am learning something new.

Hi Mrs.Mann. I was wondering if I can bring a stuff doll for the shots tomorow.
Just wondering.
Hi Andrea,
Perhaps you can bring a small object (something that will fit in the palm of your hand) such as a charm that can comfort you. You will be okay!
Ok thanks Mrs.Mann.
I think I have a growth mindset. You can train your mind to change and you can always change your label. Some motivational words are” I can do it!” or “I’m getting better”.
Hi Mrs.Mann. I’m currently in the states. Tomorow my family and I are going to Great Wolf Lodge.
I hope you are having fun at Great Wolf Lodge. Go down the ‘Tornado’ once for me! Will you be back on Tuesday?
I think having a growth mindset is important in life. It will help your mind to handle situations in a better way.
Hi again Mrs.Mann. I was wondering what you were suppost to do on the sticky notes that you gave us? I forgot what were suppost to do with them.
You are supposed to write any connections, questions, inferences, observations, emotions, etc. that you have while reading. Place each sticky note in the book wherever you had one of these thoughts. You will share them with your group and I will asses them. I look forward to reading your stickies.
