Find the Simple Machines

Here is an amazing Honda commercial from a few years ago that was viewed in the United Kingdom. Unbelievably, there are no computer graphics involved and the entire chain of events was filmed (in two separate parts)! Apparently, it costs six million dollars to produce, took three months to complete and took 606 ‘takes’ (attempts to film). As well, they took apart two cars for the parts! While you are watching it, see how many simple machines that you can spot. Count them up and report how many wedges, pulleys, wheel and axles, screws, inclined planes and levers you see. I hope you enjoy it!

  1. Ms Mann, it’s not about the video, but I can’t get on to google drive because the computer doesn’t recognize my account. It keeps on telling me to prove that I’m not an imposter. What can I do?

    1. Is there any way that you can bypass the question or prove that you are you? You can put in the school’s address or phone number since you should not give out your personal information.

  2. That was so amazing! When me and Cheryl were watching it we liked noticing all the different parts of the car. It was so cool how it all flowed together nicely , even though it took 606 times to get it working properly . I`m so exited for the YPC .

  4. I arived at Japan safely and since Japan is one day ahead of canada, it is Saturday and we went to see the snow monkys up in the mountains. My mom got attacked by one because she was holding bag and somehow the monky new that there was food on it ( which is true) : ) and my grandoa ran to gey the bag out of my moms hands. Luckly, it only took a BAG of bananas when there was cookies and crackers. Anyways the sight seeing was great because the monkys dont get scared when it walks up to you or if you walk up to it but the most important rule is to never make eye contact with the snow monky. About the attacking thing, it wasnt anything serious so none of you have to worry.
    How is it at school? Can anyone please ask Mrs. Bennett for me if I have to do the science quiz because I know I will miss some of the science. Thank you!!!! I miss you all! I will keep in touch with you until March 30.

  7. my new school is called the eagles nest and i know 15 people all my cousins and my mom work there well soon and my school is in pembrton
