Bombaloo

Today we read Sometimes I’m Bombaloo and talked about the many different feelings we can have on any given day and moment.   We express our feelings and emotions through our words, actions and thoughts to ourselves.  In next week’s HACE class, we are going to develop a Class Charter and include the feelings we want to have when we are at school.  What do you know about a ‘charter’ and what sort of feelings do you want to have when you are in the classroom?  Is it okay to feel angry, frustrated, or confused at school?  How can we help each other when we are feeling this way?

    1. I am glad you liked the book, Julea! It is one of my favourites because it shows that we all have ‘Bombaloo’ moments that are completely normal. Sometimes, it’s how we handle those feelings and get ourselves back to a peaceful state of mind. Do you have some strategies for calming down when you are feeling ‘Bombaloo’? What specifically did you enjoy about the book? Do you have any questions or connections to the book?

  1. I always practice soccer after school to improve my skills to shoot in the French Emersions team to get more points. I even practice being a better golie at home to save hard shots before the game in school.

    1. Hi Emma,

Go to the Homework tab and choose Subject Links. Once you get there, click on the image which will bring you to a screen with many different sites to choose. Look for Johnny’s Math Page. If you want to find the place value game, go to ‘Number’ and then ‘Place Value’.

        1. Once you get onto the Symbaloo page, click on the tile that says ‘Johnny’s Math Page’. If you are still having trouble, we can go over it at school.
