  • the Burnaby Public Library (RB Digital) has lots of good teen books both audio and e-book but only available in limited quantities. Open this link, then to filter you search, click the ‘hamburger’ icon in the top left corner and choose the type of media and reading level as you like
  • Also at BPL: Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone is available in unlimited quantities as both audio and e-book. This is the link to the teen e-book page. If you look in the red banner at the top of the page, you will see the info about Harry Potter
  • https://stories.audible.com/discovery  (Parental advisory as some mature content)
  • https://www.dkfindout.com/us/ (non-fiction, but really good material)
  • https://www.gutenberg.org/ (older books with expired copyright. But thousands of titles)
  • https://freeresources.amplify.com/ela-novel-guides/ (this is a supplemental novel study site, not actual books)
  • https://archive.org/  This is an archive housing all sorts of older copyright-expired material. the Librivox site might have suitable material
  • https://lbfranklin.schoolloop.com/books This is a collection of sites offering free books, but you have to sift through them
  • https://www.uniteforliteracy.com/ younger kids
  • http://scholastic.ca/education/free_digital_resources/ Not fiction, but multi-media material including non-fiction books
