I think it means everything good the other kids do to August that is nice (talk, getting to know him, and being his friend etc.) he will leave a good memory of them.

It may mean that, all the good things August has done, like going to a school to be like the rest of the traditional kids that go to school. He stands up to the kids that have disorders because kids are old enough to know that everyone is special and I think August needs to remind that their special in their own way.

It could contribute to the story by what Auggie is going to do, it’s going to leave a memory behind him.

Last year, under a sky with sparkling stars, my sister and I went trick-or-treating. We started our trip at a fully decorated house. It had all kinds of Halloween decorations on the front yard, ranging from little transparent ghosts to pitch black cackling witches. It even had a glowing jack-o-lantern on the doorstep. So we went up the stairs and knocked on the door while cheerfully exclaiming “Trick- or-treat. ’The man who opened the door gave us each two chocolate bars and so we left. The next house we went to was the complete opposite of the house we went to before. It had no decorations at all! In fact, the only clue that they were giving out candy was that there was a dimly lit jack-o-lantern glowing eerily on the windowsill. As soon as we saw the jack-o-lantern we raced to the door and knocked on the big wooden door. A woman with dark hair and brown eyes opened the door and gave us some Smarties. We went on to many different houses and got all kinds of candies ranging from lollipops to gummy bears until finally I was starting to get tired so we headed home.

I think the October precept means deeds or monument and that what we say is not as important as what we do .It also reminds us what we do to ourselves and other people is the most important of all. It also reminds us if we say or do something mean especially, if we do something mean we can cause a big impact on someone and sometimes even your life in a bad way, we also need to remember if we do something mean to someone it can ruin their life permanently and if we do or say something we do or say something we have to be remember if we do or say something we have to be positive and know it is true before you say it.

On Halloween night, I saw lots of children wearing costumes and Trick or Treating. I wore a “fade in fade out phantom costume. It came with weird looking glasses which you put it on with the hood. Then you move a small switch that’s connected to the glasses and it lights up red on the eyes. When I went Trick or Treating. The first candy I got was “nerds.” It’s a small crunchy candy with lots of different flavors like strawberry, grape, orange and other. After I’m done Trick or Treating I say goodbye to my friend and go home. I ask my Mom to check if there is dangerous things in the candy then I sit down on my bed and enjoy!

Auggie is feeling bad and some is funny because, he scared if someone laugh at him about his face and maybe he doesn’t have friend, no one want to be friends with Auggie, but Auggie’s teacher likes Auggie and Auggie likes his teacher too, that’s why say Auggie likes school and he have some don’t like school.

On October 31, the spooky Halloween is coming! On Halloween, every house owner will put a lot Jack O Lantern near their front door, I saw a ghost on the door, but I could see it was made of paper.

It was 8:00 p.m. I heard some kids laughing and screaming “trick or treat” to the people who opened the door. We knocked at the door and shouted “trick or treat” to the people, too. We kept trick or treating. Suddenly, I touched a “spider web“, I felt it was made of strings with a lot of sticky sugar.

We still kept trick or treating, we knocked at the door and shouted “trick or treat“ to the house owner, but he didn`t gave us candy. He said: “I am sorry, we just moved here, we don`t have any candy for you. “ we said “That`s ok“ and walked away.

It was 9:00 p.m. we had to go back home. I took a chocolate bar out of the bucket. I put the candy straight into my mouth. It was soft and sweet. It was tasty…

That was a spooky Halloween night.

What The Oct. Precept Means To August and How it Contributes To One Of The Themes of Wonder

It’s important to August because if he does good deeds to other people.

They will like him more and they will be friends with him. So now people won’t be that mean to him.   August wanted to feel normal, all of his good deeds will make people remember him. August  will feel what he wanted to feel.

I think this precept applies to Auggie because he helps his family by doesn’t complain after all his surgery’s. I think this because he does a lot of nice things for his family like staying calm when he knows he is under pressure.

His ‘deeds are monuments’ because the monuments stuck with his family for a long time. At school this is kind of the opposite for Auggie but this much different for his friends or teachers. Because he helps his friends by keeping them company. This is opposite with any random students because they think he has the cheese touch. Like Greg Hefley in the book Diary of a wimpy kid by Jeff Kinney. These random students don’t want to even touch him or even be near him or playing with him or keep him company.

This precept ties in with the story because all the doctors are doing all the deeds for Auggie like surgeries or just a quick check up. His family packs lunch for him and even kisses him goodbye when he leaves for school. All of these things stick with Auggie for the rest of his life.

I think October precept from Mr. Brown “your deeds are your monument” means to August is if you do good deeds people will remember you and the most important thing that the people will remember is your action because people doesn’t care what you look like. People died like Terry Fox people was judging him by how he look , how he can run by one leg the other one iron made. He was running for cancer and he want to achieve his goal (his goal was, he wants to run one place to another and help from the cancer I think?)That’s what people do.

the book wonder August was treated badly at school people doesn’t want to talk to him because how he look people thought his weird, August thought jack Will was his friend but he was just force to hang out him but jack will doesn’t even like him he was just acting to like him. August only have a very little friends but little did they know August was very nice. Jack will wasn’t doing the October precept the only nice person is Summer, Charlotte, and other people. Probably in the next story he might do the October precept to Jack Will so he can like him and be friends him again.

The most memorable Halloween night I ever had was two or three years ago when I was 7 years old because when I woke up the sky was grey and a little bit black which made it look realistic for a Halloween morning the sun also look like the moon which made it look 2 times more realistic .It was great at school because the haunted house was really realistic and awesome there was this hand that could grab your leg if you were at the wrong place at the wrong time there was also this ghoul and zombie that will let out a horrendous scream if you got too close to it or if you did something loud. When I went trick or treating I got between 30 to 40 candies I got way more chips and other stuff.
