How has Brian demonstrated motivation?

Brian remembered somethings that  his teacher, Mr.Perpich told him about getting motivated. The 3 main things he used to demonstrate motivation were: 1st, he looked for food and found rasberries and gutcherries. 2nd, Brian used his hatchet to make a fire to help him keep warm during the night. And finally,Brian made a lean-to to sleep in,with twigs, sticks and leaves. This is how Brian showed motivation.

Brian fulfills his habitat requirement with food, water, shelter, and space. First Brian’s food is raspberries and raw turtle eggs. Now Brian is trying to make a tool to catch the fish he found in the lake. Once again Brian is showing motivation to survive. Second Brian knows he needs drinking water to survive, so he built his shelter around the lake the plane landed in. When Brian drank the lake water he threw up. I think he drank too much. Third Brian told himself that he had to be under shelter. Brian built his lean-to under a little bit of rock. He built his lean-to door out of twigs, sticks and leaves. Fifth Brian has Brian has lots of space. Brian in is the Canadian woods and there are lots of lakes and bushes. Brian even made fire in the space. When the porcupine attacked Brian he threw his hatchet and missed. So the hatchet hit the rock and sparks flew. The next day Brian made the sparks grow and the fire started. All the thing that have happened caused Brian to be more in tune with nature. For example if he hears a chirp he knows it’s a bird, or if he hears a gust of wind he know is blowing west. Brian has grown on this adventure. When Brian saw the plane leave, he lost hope. Brian didn’t give up. He would not let himself die in the woods. Brian saw the fish in the lake, so this time he tried to built a bow and arrow. Brian made it out of sticks and his shoelaces.  He tired a lot of times but failed to hit the fish. Then he remembered his biology class he took. The fish were just below where he had hit. For the next few weeks Brian had food! Brian had tough hope.

How is Brian fulfilling his habitat needs water, food, shelter and space?

Brian is fulfilling his habitat needs of water, food, shelter and space by working for it. He is getting his water from the lake, it is clean water that he can drink but not the cleanest. He is getting his food from raspberry bushes and raw turtle eggs. He got is shelter by working for it. He got the wood and started building his lean-to. It turned out to be one on the best things he’s built so far. And for space there is not much to say other than he had more than enough space for and of his needs.

How is Brian becoming more “in-tune” with nature?

Brian started to notice a change in himself. He noticed that he started looking at things more. By that I mean when he looked at the lake he didn’t just look at the lake, he looked at the ripples in the water and the way the wind was blowing to make in ripples on the water. When he looked at everything now it would all be different from how he saw it before and it is because he needs all those plants and wood and other parts of nature that he didn’t he need back in the city, and now that he needs then he looks at not what it is but how it could also help him to survive. He also noticed a change in his body, as he was sleeping in his lean-to he would always keep the fire alive and all that smoke from all those days it made his face and body start to look like leather.

Brian’s survival skills

Since Brian’s plane crashed in the lake he needed to survive in a new habitat. After Brian’s plane crash he needed shelter to be safe from predators and the rain. He looked for a good place for his shelter and saw a ridge that had a small cave under it. It looked like it was scooped out. Brian went off to look for stuff to make his shelter. Brian used his hatchet to gather sticks and leaves to build the lean-to so he goes back to the ridge and builds his lean-to in front of the scooped up cave. After Brian’s successfully built his lean-to he was proud of himself so he decided to get some rest and sleep. The next day Brian woke up he it was really hot he was also really sweaty he was thinking about drinking the lake water but he did not know it was safe but he was to hot he couldn’t handle it so he just drank it. After a couple of hours Brian was sick from the lake water and threw up. When Brian finished throwing up he was hungry he went searching for any type of food after walking a little Brian had found a raspberry bush he did not know it was safe. So he stood there but then he saw a bird approaching the raspberry bush and eat piece of a raspberry. That’s how Brian knew it was safe to eat so he eat it. After Brian was full but he did not want to stop eating because for Brian it feels he hit the jackpot for finding gold after Brian took one more bite he saw bear! Brian was frighten by the bear he started to panic and run but he stopped and realized the bear won’t hurt him the bear is just like Brian just trying to hunt for food. The next day Brian couldn’t believe how dark it was that night and what made it worse was he had been attacked by a porcupine the porcupine struck Brian right in to the leg Brian didn’t know what to do so he tried to throw his hatchet to the porcupine but he missed. A couple of days later when Brian is sleeping but he hears this noise a noise that’s slithering on the ground and in to the lake Brian was scared because he couldn’t see anything that night. The next morning Brains went searching for clues for what animal it was then he saw sand that was really damp so he started digging after 4 inches down and he found turtle eggs how Brian knew it was a turtle egg was that he had used his memories to tell him what it was and it was a television show he had watched about turtles that’s how Brian knew it was a turtle eggs also he knew it was safe to eat but Brian looked grossed out but he had to eat it for more energy and more hope for surviving. After Brian thought about saving the turtle eggs for later like maybe one turtle egg a day because he needs to use them wisely or else if ever runs out of food he might starve to death so he buried them back in the damp sand for later or next time to eat. The next day Brian was walking around in the forest he heard noises so he used his senses he smelled listened used his eyes standing still then he saw a wolf. This time Brian did not panic just like last time he and the wolf understood each other like there were just normal people. Now after 47 days Brian knows what to do to hunt for food and in dangerous situations Brian knows what to do.

Bryan is more in-tune with nature. Because he looks around him he knows when a bear is going to attack him. Bryan catches fish in the L shaped lake he ate sunfish. Bryan has a lean-to and then he made a spear but it did not work. Bryan ate sunfish cooked then and ate more but it was not enough. Bryan made a lean-to by the ridge the lean-to was roughly made. Bryan ate sunfish he cooked the fish with the fire.

Brian habitat

In Brian habitat he worked on making a lane to and getting food and making weapons When he first crashed he got out of the water and did not know what to do and he remember of what he learned in school and starting to get better at faceting the wood he made a bow and a chest and put the eggs that he found and eat one a day and made fire by using small parts of wood and making sparks with the hatchet in a cave find a wolf what will happen next let’s find out.

Blog 4 Habitat

There was a bear behind him he eat berries he screamed mom he did go down to the lake he first went to the bear was behind him he was thrown the hatchet but he missed and thrown it on the wall and there was a lit and he saw he bright light he lay on his side and put his head on his arm and closed his eyes because that was all he could do now all he could think of being able to do he could his eyes and slept dreamless deep and down.

Blog#4 Habitat

Since Brian’s plane crashed in the lake, he needed to survive in a new habitat. First he needed to get food. He saw birds eating berries and thought he could eat them too. Brian was so hungry and had nothing to eat. He saw turtle eggs lying around. Brian remembered that Uncle Carter used to eat raw eggs in the morning. He decided that he needed to eat badly enough to do so himself. Brian ate the eggs raw and saved the rest of the turtle eggs to eat once a day. The second way that Brian tried to get food was by catching fish. At first he tried to catch them with his own hands but it didn’t work. Next, he tried to make a spear but it didn’t work either. Brian made a bow and shot arrows at the fish but he missed. Brian kept shooting the fish all over again but he missed. After hours he saw the arrow bend or break in the middle but it didn’t break it was just the reflection of the light hitting the water Brain have forgotten that water refracts. After Brian caught the fish he saw golden sides he was so happy and excited he couldn’t breathe. The third way he made a shelter. Brian made his shelter close to the ridge to protect himself from mosquito, danger and harm. Brian made his shelter by using piece of wood and brace them together.

When Brian crashed landed on the lake he got up and searched for a good place to build his lean-to. He was in a forest habitat so he had to search inside the forest. Brian wanted to be near the lake in case searchers come for him. Brian found a small scooped up mountain at the far side of the ridge, where he can build his lean-to. Brian used sticks and leaves for his lean-to. Once Brian finished building his lean-to he was starving so he wondered in the forest and tried to find food. Brian found cherries but they were bad so he got diarrhea. Brian was still starving so he went back but didn’t pick the gut cherries and went farther, then found raspberries.

From the evidence I found in the book Brian is becoming more in tune with nature. The bugs doesn’t bother him anymore because of his smell. Brian has a more understanding around his space and surroundings. When Brian was in a dangerous situation with a wolf he was calm and didn’t feel fear. Brian can also see the wolf as part of the woods. Brian also communicated with the wolf. Brian is changing and becoming more in tune with nature.
