New Year’s Resolution

I always liked writing since grade 1 it was always fun for me to write and draw a picture along with it. My grammar was always bad I would understand that in grade 1 but not in grade 5! So my new year’s resolution is to fix my grammar.

My new year’s resolution is to try to improve my grammar. I would like to improve my grammar because I was getting bad grades in the past such as c- or c+. I am trying my best to improve my grammar this goal should be done by the end of 2017, this is a hard task for me because writing isn’t my best ability. Some of my lamp posts would be to practice writing at home for 15 minutes every week day. Or get a journal to write in or I could try writing tests to test my grammar or my speed in writing, this could affect my homework schedule by eating into my time so I will have no time to do my actual homework. I could try to reduce my time writing so I will have to time to finish my homework.

I am look at my friends work to get inspiration for my writing sometimes I have trouble coming up with ideas so I will borrow ideas to take suggestions by other people. This can sometimes help me or effect my work, I don’t like when a teacher points out that me and my friends work are quite similar. This has happened twice in my life and I would always have to explain that I have trouble writing and I borrow ideas from my friends but I always ask permission before borrowing their ideas. So I would like to try to fix my grammar, get better writing speed and stop borrowing ideas from fiends. Thanks for reading my article.

Welcome back!

Hey folks!

I’ve been away longer than expected and the holidays were so busy I didn’t get a chance to login to our site to check for comments. Sorry it took me so long to post and approve comments!

Our SNOW-SHOEING field trip was a total success! Thanks to all who helped by volunteering and lending clothes or snowshoes! Without you we couldn’t have done it.

Our ART project has begun!

Exciting stuff is happening in Art these days. Watch our progress on the ART pagepicture1

So far, we’ve only papier mached 1-2 layers, but we’re hoping to get to 3-4 layers before we start adding ears and noses, etc… we finish with acrylic paint and a high-gloss protective layer.

Blog #7 about Auggie and Via

Auggie and via are very clever for their age. They’ve gone through so many bad things such as funerals and Auggie’s surgeries. Auggie and Via know how to deal with sad or hurtful things like teasing and name calling. They know how to deal with it and be responsible about it and not cry when it happens.

Auggie is different from everyone else in his class because he is a nice caring person in the class. I’m not saying that no one else is nice in the class not that at all. It’s just that Auggie is different from everyone else he is nice but no one notices it. Auggie would never change to be like Julian he would not” go with the flow” he would always be same old lovable Auggie.

Via is kind of the same she would not” go with the flow” she is her own person and trying to be someone she isn’t. She will not take anything to seriously and at least try to semi-funny. She is clever for knowing how to deal with problems in a grown up manor and some silly kid goofing off. If Miranda jumped off a bridge via definitely would not follow her.

This will conclude my blog with a smiley face 🙂

Blog#7 How is Via Wise Beyond her Years

I think that Via is wise beyond her years for example she is caring because she tried to cheer Auggie up and she got Auggie to go to the Halloween parade by saying “I’ll give you all my candy.” She is insightful because she knows how to cheer up Auggie. She is empathetic because she knows/feels what Auggie is going through and she knows that sense of her problems don’t measure up.

Time to get all work in!

With report cards just around the corner, students are scrambling to get late assignments in while teachers are frantically trying to mark and assess all your wonderful work!

Please check with your teacher if you are missing any work!

This week is kt8obbglcPRESENTATION WEEK for SCIENCE

Blog #6: How Does Auggie Feel about the October Precept

I think that Mr. Brown’s October precept is very important to Auggie because he thinks “Your deeds are your monuments” is very important because he thinks that is how people should view him. Instead of focusing on how he looks, they should focus on what he does, because people gossip about him, talk behind his back, and make fun of him. If people focused on what people did, not what they looked like, they would find out that Auggie is very kind, caring, and trustworthy, so Auggie would have lots of friends and would be very popular. But people can’t see past his face. Auggie thinks that what you do is more important than what you look like, and what you say, and I agree with him!

The reason I think this is important to the story is because Auggie’s decisions are influenced by Mr. Brown and his precepts. Because Auggie looks at the world differently than other people. Instead of focusing on what people look like, he focuses on what they say or they do. This impacts the story because when people do rude things to him, he doesn’t automatically think they’re bad people because everyone can ask him “Why is your face like that?”, but it’s okay for people to be curious. This is how the precept effects his outlook which is important to the story.
