Auggie thinks Mr.Brown’s October precept “Your deeds are your monuments” is important because people treat him differently based on his looks and he thinks that people should be treated differently because of their actions not their looks. The monuments are not just made of stone they are also made of memories of the actions the person did. I think this is why Auggie thinks this is important.
