A story that my mom tells me once in a while is that when it is Chinese New Year my mom will decorate the house with her brother every New Year. Every New Year was normal, except when my mom was around 10 Years old she was decorating with her brother when my mom got out the materials to decorate she heard a lot banging and shouting sounds outside. My mom was very curious so she went outside and then she saw a big Chinese New Year parade event outside! My mom was so excited that when she was running up to get her brother she tripped on the stairs. But she ran all the way to her mom, dad then her parents were so surprised that all her parents could say was “ this is a excellent time to take as many pictures as possible”.
