Blog#11 3 things you shouldn’t do when you’re home alone

Hey my name is Corina and from experiences  of my own you’re going to read some tips so you don’t do the same mistake that I did once, or twice.

The first thing you shouldn’t do is cook or bake, just  put something in the microwave because if you do something else there’s a chance you will burn the house down,  trust me I did it once and it didn’t go well just eat a candy bar or starve, hey at least you won’t burn the house down right…..

The second thing is DON’T I repeat DON’T watch a scary movie because trust me after the movie is over you will get scared at every little noise or even your own shadow. Ones I was so scared I grabbed a cooking pan from my kitchen and had it in my hand, by the time that my parents got home I swear everything was smashed on the floor so please DON’T watch a scary movie.

The final thing you shouldn’t do is stay in your bed you need to blast some of your favorite songs, sing your heart out, and annoy your neighbors and it’s ok if you get a noise complaint your parents are not even there and won’t find out *wink*.

I hope you  learned something that you shouldn’t do when you’re home alone I hope it made you smile a little or laugh before i forget i hope you don’t do the 3 things i told you to not do, thank you so much for reading this article byee.

Stress Management

I think I can handle stress pretty well. I don’t get stressed out by homework that much. I can cool off quickly  and  I think that is one of my attributes.  I think this is because  I can cool off fast after  being stressed out or being mad. I can tell when I’m getting frustrated. I get really hot when I’m stressed or I’m frustrated.

My strategies are taking it slow and staying calm and not to use violence to counter my stress. I can count to 10 slowly to calm myself down and it helps me focus as well. I don’t like to be stressed so I try not to put myself in stressful situations. So  I can try to not put homework off and finish on time.

BLOG #11 CHICKENBOY’S MORNING (PLEASE CLICK)

Chickenboy woke up at 5; 26. He woke up because of an alarm clock. He was scared because he thought there was a gorilla singing, but it was actually the alarm clock. Then he thought that the gorilla was in the small lamp. So he threw the lamp in the neighbour’s car. Then the car started beeping. That woke up the neighbourhood. Then Chickenboy thought the Gorilla was in other furniture in his house, so the smartest thing he thought of doing was throwing everything out of the house. Then the furniture started landing on more cars of chickenvile.  More beeping happened, that woke up two hotels and 56 houses. The last thing for ChickenBoy to throw was his alarm clock. Then he accidentally hit the off button on his alarm clock. Then he thought the gorilla was gone. So the only furniture he had left was his alarm clock. But one of is furniture landed on his brother’s neighbour’s car, so more beeping happened. Then his brother, ChickenGuy, thought the beeping was an angry cow that was trying to attack him. Just like Chickenboy he threw all of his furniture out the window. But ChickenGuy can threw farther and has bigger furniture. So, his furniture hit almost the entire town and made more chickens do the same thing has Chickenboy and ChickenGuy. Then one of the pieces of furniture landed on at a nuclear testing site. The furniture made one of the workers surprised and pressed a button that sent a rocket to the moon. Which pushed the moon towards the sun and it blocked the sun causing chickenvile to be night time again. So all the chickens had a happy night even without furniture. THE END.

Stress

When I am stressed I can walk away and think about the problem and find a fire drill solution for any stressful problem I can look for solution. Somethings that are stressful for me are Raine.  She asks me questions.

Hardy, because he say hey big boy.  I never go to kindergarten and it is stressful. I love to do math. I love lit circles I read a book called Stone Soup. Reading something or do math is cool. And calms me down when I am stressed out.

stress management

The stress that you did not finish your homework reminds me of when I was in China, the teacher in China make at least 9 homework every day. We dismiss at 5:10 or even more lately, when we arrived home, it was almost dinner time. When we had our dinner, I spend many time on finding my text books, erasers, pens and my homework books, waste my time is more like it.

When I was ready to do my homework, I talk and distracted with my brother at the most of the time. Even though I waste many time, I still need to finish my homework, because in China, all the homework are due tomorrow, so if the homework are easy, I can complete it at 10:30 or earlier. But if the homework are a little hard, I can only complete it at 11 o’ clock. The next morning, I had to arrive school at 7:50, what that means I had to get up at 6:40——I didn’t get enough sleep.

I had changed that when I came to Canada. In China, my room doesn’t have enough space to have a table for me to do my homework, so I do my homework in my brother’s room, and now, my room have enough space to do my homework, so I can do my homework with no distract.

I realized that I did not give myself enough time, so I finish my homework late, and I distracted with my brother so I can’t do my homework seriously, do not put off!

How to deal with stress

– What is stress?

Stress is a combination anger and scared like if you are not done your homework and its 8:45 stress if you do your homework late in night and early morning (1am) stress all thing can stress you, but NOT all thing can stress you out.

– What causes stress? (for Example)

If you are not done your homework and its 8:45 stress, if you do your homework late in night and early morning (1am).

– What does causes you to be stress

When people pronounce my name wrong on purpose,

When people roast me so mean.

-how do you deal with stress

I can deal with stress is to make/buy a stress ball or spend time with your family whatever calms you down is your stress ball.

I can also go outside and breathe, drink water and spend time outside run around like that. This is all the thing I can say about stress and deal with stress I hope you found this article helpful

Blog #10 what August deserve this medal

August deserved the William Beecher Ward medal because the medal is about a person had courage to stand to self and showed the kindness, and August just showed it through the whole book. When Julian saw August the first time, he absolutely seemed rude to August. But August don’t care about how Julian did to him. When Julian E-mailed to August to apologise, August forgive him, too.

Just like the book says before, it doesn’t matter what you looks like! And I remember a sentence: treat them the way you want to be treated, even though the other people was rude to August, August was still nice to them, and when August lost his hear ring, while he is really sad, but Jack and the other people call him “little dude” and making jokes to make him happy.

Stand up to self and show the kindness, that is all we had to do.

My Stress Management Strategies

Everyone deals with stress once or twice (normally more) in their lifetime, here are a few of my strategies of how to deal with stress.
I can mostly deal with stress is some situations. For example, homework. I handle this problem by planning ahead, I plan what homework I should do on specific days. There are other ways to handle homework.

One of them is trying to be organized, actually you should you organized ALL THE TIME. Sometimes, I personally leave my math textbook at my bin. Which leaves me to worry about it until it’s the next day, which is when the homework is due. Another small tip that I use is putting your planner inside of your binder, so you wouldn’t forget about it that often. You might notice that there are three holes on the side of your planner, which is where you can place your planner, It may take up a lot of space (and it’s heavy) but it’s at least better than forgetting to bring your binder or planner.

If you’re REALLY stressed about something else besides homework then maybe you should take a break and calm down. Normally if I get mad or sad, I try cheering myself up by doing something I like. If I’m nervous, I doodle on my paper little patterns. Or I just make a full drawing of a subject I particularly enjoy. You could also take a little walk outside and clear things up. Everyone has their own strategy!
