When Auggie is introduced to Mr. Tushman and everyone else, I think he feels very nervous/shy because he’s scared and worried about what people will think about his face and how he looks, and also because he’s meeting new people.

Auggie’s Laugh/Cry Feeling (Why)

I think that when Jack stared at Auggie and Aggie stared back, Auggie was having a bad day. When Auggie stared back he thought “I think Jack might become a good friend of mine” because Jack was being nice to Auggie and was standing up to Julian when Julian was bullying Auggie. So instead of crying, Auggie laughed.

Auggie is feeling like he is going to cry but laughing at the same time because one of his friend named Julian ask about his face why it was like that then after that he ask “did you get in a fire accident”? Then after that he started laughing because Jack Will smiled at him which made Auggie smile back to him. I think that is why I think he is having that feeling. Or he laugh because someone told him a joke about Mr.Toshman and Miss.Butt.

Auggie’s feeling about school is, I think he feels mad/happy because he is mad at his mom for signing him for a private school and Auggie doesn’t want to let people see his face because its kind of ugly(trying not to bet rude)  and he feels happy because he make this new friend named Jack Will and he feels a little beat nervous because he never went to school. I think  he will have a good time at his new school because he has a new friend. I wonder what will happened next to the story.

I think Auggie is feeling very upset and disappointed when jack will gave Auggie sort of like a death stare, Auggie felt a laugh cry emotion. That laugh cry emotion might feel like he is very sad and upset I have felt that laugh cry emotion before. It sort of feels like you are this big angry volcano then you see something

That reminds you about a funny moment that you can’t hold in.

That feeling he feels might make him very upset of his new school. Julian was being a big fat jerk when he asked Auggie about his face. At that moment Auggie felt very lonely and he might have also felt that laugh/Cry emotion again.

I think August was trying to hide his feelings. He is having some mixed feelings in that moment; well it happens to everyone so I get it, Julian was being a jerky so that is what made Auggie sad, and at the fact they were not looking at him. Maybe Auggie thought that they were nice because Mr. Tuchman said they were. Maybe he smiled of Ms. Butt and Mr. Tuchman on a date or, that Jack Will was looking at him and it made him smile. Julian made him sad by asking mean questions he was curious but too curious so he asked a question that hurt August’s feelings and made him have a teary emotion. That is what I think of Auggie’s laugh/cry feeling.

I think she is scared and kind of shy because she does not have much experience about going to school she also do not have any true friends and only knows 3 people in the school so far Jack, Julian and Charlotte. Julian was not really nice to Aggie, he ask Aggie what was with his face  which I thought was not really nice because he thought he was probably in a fire. Julian was also standing in front of him every time he was trying to look inside. I also think he has the laugh and sad feeling because he is sad but happy that he hasn’t  started school and probably has mix feelings.

I think August wants to go to school because maybe he wants to make new friends. August laugh/cry ,maybe because when  august meet the other 3 kids one of them was really mean  the other ones  where nice  maybe something  make August laugh , maybe something  like meeting new people might be scary  and other people are mean to you anyone could feel to cry that might be the laugh/cry.  I thing August is feeling nervous because he haven’t meet other kids that he didn’t  now that will be pretty nervous , another feeling would be   happy he could make new friends.
