My name is Sarah, I have my mom, dad, my sister, and my grandma in my family.

I live in an apartment on Mayberry street. Beside my apartment there is a park. The park is big but the playground is small. In my apartment there are 3 rooms, 1 laundry room, 1 washroom, and a huge yard. I share a room with my sister, I like it because sometimes I get scared at night but I know she’s underneath me so it makes me less scared, but I don’t like it because she throws her stuff everywhere. My family likes to eat out together and bike in the park together. There’s also something that we do together in the summer a lot. We go fishing. We have 3 rods, and we usually fish for small fish but sometimes we go for salmon. The only person that doesn’t fish in our family is my sister, I think she’s too young. Last last year, my dad caught 2 big salmon, we had them for dinner that night, they were delicious! For vacation we haven’t gone anywhere but Canada and china, but those 2 countries are very big! I love travelling but I get car sick and that’s not fun.

Here is what I do out of school. Every Sunday I go to church with my mom and my sister. At our church there are different, smaller groups. We name the groups by numbers. The group my family is in is group #1. The people in the groups are much closer and know each other better because we meet with each other every Saturday. Sometimes on Wednesday there are Christian classes for the adults, kids aren’t allowed to go L. When we go to church on Sunday its different from other churches. In most churches you go in the morning and it ends a little earlier before lunch. In our church you go at 2:30 and leave at 4:30 or 7:00. The reason there are 2 times to leave is because at 4:00 there are treats (cake, sandwiches, juice, fruit, etc.) and after you eat the 2^nd session starts. Some people leave at 4:30. But if you stay until 7:00 there is dinner! It is free but it relies on the donations that people give.

Going to church isn’t the only thing I do. I also have violin, drawing, and swimming class. My violin class is on Tuesday and it is for 45 minutes. My drawing class is on Sunday and it starts at 12:30 and ends at 2:00. Right after drawing class we go to church. Both my violin class and drawing class is in the teacher’s house but my swimming class isn’t (obviously). I take swimming lessons in the summer only because it is warmer then and there is also more time because of summer vacation. At home I practice for about 50-60 minutes each day.

That is basically what I do every week, and how my life is like at home!

My name is Rodrigo. I live in Burnaby, McKay Ave, I like to play video games and go outside to hang out with my friends. I have a 6 year old brother that’s very very annoying, he never cleans up his room. But he is still my brother, like my dad says “family we bear, friends we pick.” I have a dad, he is 38 years old, and he likes to talk with me. I also have a mom that likes to show me funny videos of cats and dogs and that likes to show me cool facts every day.

I used to live in Brazil, Belo Horizonte with my grandfather’s aunt, she is called Olivia and she likes to watch Merlin with us every Saturday and Sunday.

I used to go to my grandfather’s place in the summer, his name is Sergio, He likes to tell jokes and eat sausages, and my grandmother likes to tell jokes and too but she also likes to read novels. I like to talk and sing with his parrot and play with his (my grandfather’s) dog.

I love to go to my other grandfather’s farm because he has horses, 4 dogs, chickens and everything that you can imagine inside a farm, his name is Fabio. Sometimes he acts a little crazy (like killing a snake crazy) and sometimes he acts a little bit too serious. He likes to tell me stories about what he did when he was a kid (and trust me, you don’t want to listen to his stories).

Its okay for me that my family is different.

The game that my friends and I we used to play all the time is called Hide and Go Seek. It’s basically like Hide and Seek but with tag. And the seeker has to tag the hiders to win In Hide and Go Seek. What makes this game more complicated is that we can anywhere around the school. Especially you can go to the tennis court, field, and playground anywhere. The seeker will have a hard time looking for the hiders. But were are not allowed to go to the places were not allowed to go in the school. You don’t want to be a seeker in Hide and Go Seek, because it is very complex looking for hiders all over place. And me and my friends are really good at hiding from the seekers. Sometimes we have two seekers because it could be really hard doing all the work be yourself. Me and my friends like to play this game because it is fun and it makes us very energetic.

My first name is Nina. I am 10 years old and a fifth grade student. I was born in June, 2005, Toronto. I often go to Burnaby Public Library to borrow books. Sometimes I go to Central Park. I liked to go Central Park in the morning, the sun not too shine and I can see well enough. It’s a quiet and natural place. My sister Jenny and my mom Lana are living together with me now. The rest of my family lived in Kunming, China. Sometimes when it’s summer break my grandma will come to visit us. I lived in a quiet, nice apartment where I really like. It’s near almost everywhere that we need to go. Like Wholesale, Safeway, Crystal Mall, only Maywood is a bit farther. My sister and I often make some butter cookies and banana bread, sometimes my mom joins too. The baking are very simple to make, and I’m very happy during the process. My mom often make potatoes and onion curry, it takes a long time to make but delicious, not too spicy or sweet. My sister and I really like to draw, my mom said she can’t draw well but sometimes she looked at our work and point out where we did well and where we need improve. I keep on fixing my work until I’m satisfied. I like to read books so I like the library. There are always lots of books that I need to explore.

Hello my name is Milan and this is my life. I live with my dad, mom, and my youngest sister. I feel happy to live with them. We live in apartment that is small and nice. I feel good to live in that apartment because everything we need is close. My family likes to cook, because we care for each other. My family can eat anything they want. They even like to try new food they never tried before in their lives. We like to go to high and cold mountains. There we stick together because it’s cold.

My family believes in me to be a very good soccer player and they see potential in me, they also support my sister in anything she wants to be when she grows up. My family likes to go back in time, like to listen to old music hits when they were younger, not like now everything is Justin Bieber, movies that were popular a long time ago even if they were black and white with no color. My family likes to see how world has changed in years. And that is how my family is different.
