It snows and snow a lot, amd so cold we fire and hunt for stuff… My dad dose not trust store bought deer. BUT DAD (and his friend) GOT TWO DEER!!!😲😃 well yeah bye✌️👋

the teachings of Perpich repost

What Mr. Perpich meant by “you are the best thing you have is that you will always have yourself. You can use yourself to do all sorts of things. Sometimes you don’t need other tools to do things. You need your hands to eat, or write, and defend yourself from danger and some other things. You need to be able to have physical abilities to do things that other people can’t do, if you have physical abilities. To be positive and have good thinking is to not worry that you can’t do something that you want to do but instead you should believe that you can do anything if you try. If you don’t have positive thinking then you might not be able to do anything, that is what can help Brian if he is stranded in a forest.

Brian demonstrated how to get, shelter, food and fire

Brian found shelter (as in lean-to) by walking a little far away of the lake.
Brian also fixed the shelter a little bit.
Second Brian found gut berries by looking around the bushes, after a few minutes he found
raspberries.
When Brian was picking raspberries, Brian saw a bear, the bear was near to Brian, but Brian was
okay.
The bear was picking raspberries too.
Third Brian was sleeping with his hatchet, Brian woke up because he got poked by a thousand
nedals, so Brian threw his hatchet to the rock/stone and it made sparks.
It gave Brian an idea, the next day he made fire.
It took a while to make the fire.
This took a lot of hard work for Brian to find shelter, food and to make fire.
It took so many tries for Brian to make fire.

Brian built a lean-to for protection, Brian built the lean-to by cutting willows bringing it back to his little scooped out cave and leaning it for shelter. Then he made a fire by: ripping his money into little pieces and making sparks by thrusting his hatchet on a stone wall. Brian was also energized by Perpich by finding food by looking for berries in bushes he also found about 19 turtle eggs and eating them all Brian, also built a spear to get a fish. Brian also used his hatchet by throwing it a porcupine for protection when he meets a unexpected guest by his little cave.

Brian was motivated in several ways when he remembered what Mr. Perpich saying. Blog # 3

Brian was motivated to make a lean-to as a shelter.Because he nowhere to sleep,to stay warm and to survive from mosquito. Brian build the lean-to by using pieces of wood to brace the shelter. Another thing that Brian got motivated is making fire. He tried many things. But first he tried to making sparks he used tinder and kindling but it didn’t work. After Brian found a porcupine he threw his hatchet to the porcupine but he miss and hit the rocks and make sparks. Brian saw a barks from a tree and it didn’t work. He think back to his science class and remembered that fire need oxygen and to thrive. Brian blow on it and after he adjusting the strength of his blow the sparks burst into a flame. And he also put more kindling and made fire.Brian was motivated by finding food by seeking out and compares the customary facility. Brian saw an unfamiliar red berries he taste it and taste very bitter. Brian had no choice he eat them until the pangs of hunger subside. Dose are three things that Brian got motivated by Mr. Perpich saying.

Motivation is key Blog #3

There are three ways that Brian showed motivation to survive. First, right after the plane crash Brian rested a while, but right after he started looking for a place to build his shelter. Then he finds a ridge he could’ve just built his shelter there, but he thought it was a better idea to go over the ridge and check. He found a small dent in the ridge and decided to build his shelter there. Even after he found the shelter he toke two hours to weave a door for his door he could’ve just threw sticks and grass for the door.

Second, Brian was trying so hard to find food when he could barely walk and he was fatigued from the hunger. Also after he found the gut cherries he knew they weren’t good enough so he kept going to find something better. The second time he found raspberries, but he saw a bear. So he ran for a while until he realized that the bear wasn’t trying to hurt him. The next day he knew he had to go back for food otherwise he would starve to death.

Lastly, he tried so hard to build a fire he first just tried smashing the hatchet into the wall it made sparks, but it wasn’t enough to make a fire so he ripped up his twenty dollar bill and tried but it wasn’t soft enough. Then he went outside and ripped balls of tendrils and then tried but it still didn’t work so he thought back to school and remembered that fire needed oxygen. So he blew on the sparks to make the fire and burned. He was so exited he threw the twigs and leaves into the fire and ran outside for wood. He repeated the process for a while and then he started treating it as a friend and tried so hard to keep it alive. He even woke up in the middle of the night to keep the fire going. These are just some of the ways that he showed motivation to survive there are still lots of other ways he showed motivation.

Brian has demonstrated his motivation to survive in three ways. The first way that has Brian demonstrated his motivation was by making a shelter. He sat under the tree and thought back 2 years to when he and terry had been fooling around in the park. They pretended that they were lost in the woods. Of course they would have all these things like a gun, a knife, fishing gear, and some matches. Brian didn’t have those things but what else could he do? He remembered that in the park they decided that the best shelter would be a lean-to, he had to build a lean-to. He walked down to the lake where he could find some supplies. He saw some willows he could cut down and use as braces. Then he realized that he would have to find a place to build his shelter. It couldn’t be far from the lake, he thought. Brian looked around and that’s when saw the stone ridge. He walked over there and that’s where he found the perfect place to build his shelter! It wasn’t easy to make a lean-to, it took him a long time and it was tiring work. Now he had a perfect shelter where it was nice and cool, with a roof that could protect him from the rain.

The second way was by looking for food. Brian woke up with an explosion in his stomach, he had eaten to much gut cherries last night and had swallowed the pits with them. He was hungry, so he set out to look for food. He walked past the gut cherry bushes and almost stopped by to eat some more, but then he thought back to what had happened in the morning and chose not to. Brian kept on walking and he found some raspberries! Soon he started picking and eating, but after a few minutes he heard a sound. Then he turned around to see what was happening and that’s when he saw the bear. He stared at the bear it was black and big. It picked a few berries then left. After it had left Brian ran as fast as he could back to his lean-to. He sat in his lean-to and couldn’t help but think about what the bear was doing. The bear didn’t want to eat you, he thought, if it had wanted you it would’ve come for you. He turned around and walked back to the berry bushes, the bear was gone and it looked like there was nothing that could hurt him. Soon he was stuffed with berries and had decided to pick some to save. Brian wouldn’t have gone out and looked for berries if he wasn’t motivated, he wouldn’t have gone back to the berry bushes after the bear incident if he wasn’t motivated!

So far, the best way that Brian has demonstrated his motivation was by making fire. A porcupine had come to visit at night and Brian swung his hatchet at it, missed and hit the rock. When he had hit the rock it showered down sparks. But sparks wouldn’t just turn into fire. He had to have some kind of place for the sparks to ignite. A ball of tinder or some kindling. He walked down to the lake and saw a birch tree there were some tiny tendrils peeling off of it. That was it! Brian had to collect enough of the tendrils to make a ball of tinder. Plucking and gathering, soon he had a ball of tinder the size of a grapefruit. He used the tendrils and tried but it didn’t work. The material had to be thinner and finer he thought. He used his hatchet to cut the bark into thin slivers. It was tiring, painstaking work that took him 2 hours to finish. Finally he had a big ball of fluff. He swung his hatchet at the rock, sparks showered down but disappeared after they met the tinder. Nope, that didn’t work what else did he have to do to start a fire that he didn’t do? Brian thought back to school, that’s it! He had to blow on it to start the fire. He tried again and right when the sparks met the tinder ball he blew quickly, too hard the sparks disappeared. He tried again this time too light. At last he blew it just right, and the sparks moved and grew into a fire! As you can see Brian is truly motivated!

Repost- How did Brian get motivated

Brian has demonstrated his motivation to survive in the large Canadian forests by doing a few things. Such as finding berries, making a shelter and making new “friends”.

Brian went far really far away from the lake to find something to eat. Berries.

Brian had a strange dream about his father talking to him. But Brian couldn’t hear anything that his dad said to him. And at the end of Brian’s dream He heard an M sound. So Brian woke up and decided to make a shelter, his new home.

The city boy got attacked by a porcupine, Brian could not hold the pain, so he threw the hatchet away and it hit the wall really hard making sparks some sparks. When Brian saw the sparks he thought of this: if I could make more sparks, I can make fire and the fire is going to give me protection. In other words, Brian is going to be safe. Then he used many ways to make the fire that he wanted, but he failed, he used wood, leaves branches but he still failed. So he putted his hand on his pocket and he found a 20 dollar bill, and he tried to make fire with it, he hit the wall with his hatchet as strong as he could and then sparks came out and fell on the 20 dollar bill, making fire, then Brian fed the hungry fire with wood and leaves because he didn’t want to lose it. Brian was so happy that he called the fire a “friend”.

Those were the ways that Brian used to survive, Brian got motivated.
