On Wednesday December 7th division 5 will participate in the Hour of Code, a worldwide event to promote, celebrate and increase participation in computer science. Click here to learn more.

Remembrance Day is Friday November 11th. We will have an assembly on the 10th and there will be no school on the 11th.

Halloween is Monday.  Students can wear costumes appropriate for school in class and will have opportunities to show them to others.  Also in the days that follow please limit candy sent to school to no more than one item per day. Division 5 will take part in the school-wide pumpkin patch event on Wednesday. Students will be able to choose a pumpkin to bring home and take part in some fun activities with our buddy class. Bring a mug for hot chocolate and a bag to carry your pumpkin home in.

Sperling will take part in the Great Shakeout, a province-wide earthquake drill on Thursday. Make sure your family has an emergency kit ready so you’re prepared just in case.

Students at Sperling will be participating in the Terry Fox Run on Friday October 7th. Donations are appreciated and make sure to dress for running and bring a water bottle.

On Wednesday September 21st and Thursday September 22nd we will be holding Intake Meetings.  Parents should have received an email with instructions on how to sign up for a meeting time.
