On December 10th division 5 will participate in the Hour of Code, a worldwide event that aims to introduce millions of students to computer science through one-hour coding activities. We have been working on coding in ADST so students will be able to put their skills to the test.

Divisions 5 and 16 were part of a successful World Record attempt!  We were among the 752,632 people around the world who achieved the record for “Most People Sport Stacking at Multiple Locations.” Click here for more information.

Sperling’s annual Pumpkin Patch event is scheduled for Monday October 28th. Division 5 will help our buddy class with their pumpkins and do some special activities, including enjoying some hot chocolate.  Be sure to dress for the weather, bring a bag for your pumpkin and a mug for the hot chocolate.

On Friday students will take part in the Student Vote. On Thursday we will be taking part in the Great BC Shake Out to practice what to do in the event of an earthquake.  It’s a good reminder for families to also discuss the topic at home to make sure everyone is ready just in case.
