It’s Been A While!
We are back. We took a break as we wanted to save some visuals for Student Led Conferences.
Since that time, students have continued to work on their understanding of plant growth and healthy eating habits. Germination, pollination and photosynthesis have been some big, juicy distinguished words added to our vocabulary. We are still holding on to hope that our lettuce plants will continue to grow and glow so we will be able to harvest some romaine lettuce in June.
Division 10 has contributed to a Sporting Spirit and connected with lessons taught during The Vancouver Warriors presentation, a FloWarrior performance as well as a soccer session instructed by former Clinton students, Deylan and Savic Vellios.

Students have also been active in the gym, participating in a movement circuit that incorporates skills of balance, flexibility and strength. The Trestle Tree is no longer being used in the Burnaby District so we created our own gymnastics apparatus.

Our 3D Shape Cities have also been transformed into gardens with vegetables, flowers and fruit trees.

Math lessons have connected to fact families and a review of addition and subtraction with trading and regrouping. Division 10 students continue to feel confident in this area. They will be moving on to working with fractions soon. Math Super Hero Day is scheduled for Friday, May 30. It will be a day of Monumental Math Moments. Before that, Clinton students will be participating in a Spirit Day. This coming Thursday, June 22 is Tropical Day. We are looking for Division 10 to bring the heat and the spirit to Room 15.
The staff and students of Clinton School would also like to thank parents, volunteers and those that support the Clinton Community with an appreciation morning next Friday, May 23. Parents are welcome to a coffee, tea and treat in the undercover of the courtyard. Division 10 has been busy making some tea cup signs of appreciation.
Have a marvelous, May long weekend.
