This week we went a really calming walk in our neighbourhood. It was a Gratitude Walk. We searched for Flora (plant life), Fauna (animal life), and Biota (anything living). Then we drew and wrote about what we found – including why we are thankful for these items. Here are some of the things we found.

I am thankful for the sweet smell of the flowers. – Grayson and June

I am thankful for the colourful leaves because they look good and make us happy. – Aadrik

I am thankful for the lady beetles because we can look at them and hold them. – Kaylee and Ziv

I am thankful for the delicious blackberries because we can make stuff like pies and they are sweet too! – Isa

I am thankful for the tress and other plants because they provide oxygen for us. – Mariya, Xavier, Kaylee, Logan, Isa, Jerry and Julia

I am thankful for the fungus that helps feed our forest.

I am thankful for the maple seeds because they make new trees and they are fun to throw in the air and watch them helicopter down.
We hope you have a wonderful long weekend full of traditions and joy.
Happy Thanksgiving!!
From all of us in Division 8
