Planners

All students are expected to use their planners to record homework, school activities, and announcements.  The goal is for the planner to help them remember what they need and to keep you informed. Students at this age are still learning to use a planner and may require reminders to bring it to school each day.  We do not do planners if there are no announcements beyond the daily homework.  Please check if your child has brought home their planner, and if they did, sign it.

Here are the homework activities your child is expected to do everyday:

  • Read every night for a minimum of 15 minutes. Have your parent sign the Home Literacy Club form.
  • Practice your Word Work sorts and play at least one of the games.
  • Have your parent check and sign the planner. Put it in your backpack for school the next day.

Other homework activities may include:

  • Bring your library books to school every week.
  • Returning notices and forms to the school.
