1. Sharing Circle video conference
As mentioned on Tuesday, we have planned a virtual sharing circle tomorrow at 11am on Microsoft Teams. This will be the first time we will be having a class meeting which means we require lots of patience and mindfulness. Please note that this is brand new to me too! This information is based on my research so I hope that it is successful. If not — it will be an opportunity to explore the program.
To access the class meeting, you simply have to go to our Microsoft Teams page and there should be a message that will allow you to join the meeting. Please consider the following for the video call:
- Make sure your sound is on “mute” and only “unmute” when it is your turn to speak. This is because the little bits of sound from your home will mix together and make it hard to properly hear the listener.
- Please be kind and respectful through out the entire call. We are all being vulnerable by sharing and attending the meeting.
- What can you share? I encourage you to share your architecture project or your mystery stories. However, I understand that everyone’s situation is different and some of you may not have gotten to that point yet. You may also share an update, something special (art, lego, story, toy, plant, etc.) as long as you are prepared to speak about it’s importance.
- Please inform a parent/guardian about this video call. Be sure to ask for permission before joining.
2. Assignments – handing in
When you are accessing the assignment documents on Microsoft Teams, I encourage you to “save” the document and work on it through there. Be sure to complete and submit all stages of the project (not just the final piece). The process of how you got to the final piece is just as important! 🙂
3. Learning opportunities
Each of your circumstances and learning journey is different. Please complete what is appropriate for your situation. The following is a prescribed day-plan if your circumstances allow for it.

Last week’s photo was a celebration of miners who completed the last bit of the longest railway tunnel in the world. The total span is 57.09 kilometers. It is called the Gotthard Base Tunnel in Switzerland. It was completed in 2017. The machine behind the miners is called a “Tunnel Boring Machine” (aka “The Worm” or “The Mole”). It was built with the intention of reducing passenger traffic, travel time for passengers, reducing transportation truck accidents and trucks on the road. They hope the tunnel reduces the overall impact on the environment. What kind of concerns do you think would arise in a project like this?

I wonder what the boy is doing. Maybe he is helping the world by picking up the trash. Maybe he wants to help but he can’t pass the yellow line. The reason I think of it because he looks like he is helping or wants to help. Or maybe he is trying to save animals. Because he is holding a camera to find animals.
Maybe in the photo they had a big group of fishers and they had a stand where they rapped fish up in plastic so they could sell the fish.Maybe they had yellow tape so nobody would swim in the water where they where fishing.Is it a testing lab for the corona virus🦠? Why do they have so many tools?
I think they are maybe cleaning the beach.
I think the lady is being mean
I think he cannot see
Maybe he is being bossed into doing something

I think he is being told what to do and he is being bossed into going through the sand. I think he is feeling sad because he does not want to do this. The lady is pointing so I think she is making fun of him.
Maybe they are cleaning up a beach. I think they are cleaning up a beach because they have tons of plastic bags. Maybe they are testing something that is in the big bags. I think they are testing something because they have a huge canopy over something. I wonder what the boy at the front of the picture is doing. I wonder why the people have so many bags.🏖
I wonder what they’re looking at what if it is gold or Something Special I think it is because if you look close to the photo you can see a hole of yellow stuff in it
Or maybe the kid found something and the man is recording it.
Or maybe the kid dropped something and the man is getting it for the kid.
I think that they might’ve been picking up trash from the ocean.It looks like there on a beach.The guy might not supposed to cross the yellow tape but it looks like he’s taking a picture .It also looks like he’s with his family.
I wonder what the boy is doing. Maybe the boy is a lifeguard because there is water in the back round and he is waring red shorts and his lifeguard team are helping birds not die. so he is checking the food they put for the birds not die.
I wonder if they are taking a picture of the sand in the bag. I wonder what they see? Maybe the people that are working in the back ground near the tent on the beach 🏝are putting in new sand. I think 🤔 this because there is so much going on in this picture. I also see the ☀️ is maybe really burning hot.
Maybe they are cleaning the beach by picking up plastic bags and garbage because they have lots of plastic bags and other stuff I wonder why the mom and the kid are there and nobody else is there.
When I look at the picture I wonder what the guy is taking a picture of. I think that they are trying to find dinosaur bones. I think that they are looking for bones because they have big bags and shovels
I think they are getting rid of the pollution at the beach.I think that because they have a lot cleaning supplies and they have a whole crew and the crew has garbage bags and the garbage bags might have all the pollution in it.
I think they are trying to get all those bags out of the water since there is lots of pollution in the water.
